[UD News] Buddha Day

Buddha Day

You are invited to join the community for Buddha Day—a celebration of the birth, life, and death of the Buddha.

This joint event between Urban Dharma NC, Great Tree Zen Women's Temple, and the Zen Center of Asheville will happen on Saturday, May 10th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Urban Dharma's temple in West Asheville.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the depth of traditional buddhist practice, with chanting, guided meditation, and ritual offerings.

All are welcome—it is not required that you have any prior experience with Buddhist practices. This will simply be a time to celebrate in community a life and the teachings that have brought so much peace, joy, compassion, and clarity into the world.

Please plan to arrive early to settle in and find your seat. If you want to bring some offerings, flowers are especially appropriate—even better if clipped from your own or your communities gardens!
