Your life is yours—not everyone needs to understand you. There is even less of a need to rely on others’ mouth for your self-understanding.
The pain that doesn’t really belong to you—learn to pay no heed to it. The people who are insincere with you—learn to quietly distance yourself.
With stable emotions and steadiness of heart, even if the road ahead of us is not easy, we still need to walk it a step at a time. Even if we have to find our way back all by ourselves, we still need to walk with determination, walk without hesitation.
-Dorlöp Rinpoché Dr. Lye News from the Cusco Drikung CenterStarting this past weekend, Dr. Lye and Tritsab Rinpoche joined members of the Cusco Drikung center in hosting Intiq Ñan - Camino del Sol ("Path of the Sun"), a unique, week-long event uniting Tibetan and Andean culture in Buddhist practice and celebration. From dharma-talks and guided meditations, to the construction of sand mandalas, to traditional Cham dances, the ongoing program has provided a wide variety of opportunities to connect to Buddhist practice. Tomorrow is Buddha Day Please join us tomorrow for Buddha Day—a celebration of the birth, life, and death of the Buddha. This joint event between Urban Dharma NC, Great Tree Zen Women's Temple, and the Zen Center of Asheville will happen this Saturday, May 10th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Urban Dharma's temple in West Asheville.
